Consultant Hepatologist
Dr Ben Hudson is a Consultant Hepatologist at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital, and leads the British Society for the Study of the Liver/British Society of Gastroenterology specialist interest group in end-of-life care. His doctoral research investigated patterns of healthcare use among people with cirrhosis, and developed models to integrate palliative care into the management of advanced liver disease.
He is a member of the British Association for the Study of the Liver, and the British Society of Gastroenterology research development group. He was involved in the analysis and publication of data from the English early access programme for new hepatitis C therapies and has also published on the epidemiology of hepatitis C.
