The infected blood support schemes are processing interim payments to estates.  An estate is eligible for this payment if the person who died was registered with an infected blood support scheme or a previous UK scheme and an interim payment has not already been made to the person who died, their estate or their bereaved partner.  There is more information online here or you can call the infected blood support scheme:

The Government announced on 21 July 2025 that they would make a further interim payment to estates registered with an infected blood support scheme or predecessor scheme on or before 17 April 2024, with further information to come. You can read this here.
