Professor of Medical Sociology
Myfanwy Morgan is a medical sociologist and Professor Emeritus at King’s College London. Her research has mainly focused on patients’ experience and management of chronic health conditions and the evaluation of interventions, with particular emphasis on the influence of social circumstances, age and ethnicity. Myfanwy has collaborated with a variety of clinical specialties and with universities in Europe and North America and has held programme and project grants funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR), the Medical Research Council (MRC) and other charities. She taught undergraduate medical and postgraduate courses and has been a member of grant awarding panels, government
advisory groups and editorial boards. She was elected Fellow of the Faculty of Public Health.
